Individualised Learning and Academic Support in Boksburg
DITC provides a supportive, structured learning environment for learners who benefit from small group learning, individual attention and an alternative to a large traditional classroom. Our Tutor Centre in Atlasville, Boksburg supports learners across different stages of their school journey, at an appropriate pace with guidance and academic support.
We provide homeschool support in Boksburg and Grade 1–12 support in English and Afrikaans. Our tutors assist learners following the South African CAPS and Cambridge (British) curricula, including with tasks, projects and portfolio work. We aim to provide education support in Boksburg that responds to each learner’s needs.

Support for Young Children Who Need a Different Start
Some children need more time, repetition, movement or a smaller environment before they are ready to cope comfortably with formal learning. Hear-to-Grow provides developmental support for young children who may be experiencing challenges with hearing, listening, speech, language, communication, self-regulation or early learning skills.
The programme is designed around the individual child and focuses on strengthening the developmental foundations that support later learning. It may be helpful for children who:
- Are not yet communicating at the level expected for their age
- Struggle to listen, process or respond to spoken information
- Become overwhelmed in busy classroom environments
- Need more support with attention and self-regulation
- Require additional help with school-readiness skills
- Benefit from a smaller, more individualised learning environment
Our approach supports the whole child, including communication, confidence, movement, emotional development, social interaction and early learning. Where appropriate, we value working alongside other professionals already supporting the child.

Helping Learners Understand Themselves Before Making Important Choices
Subject choices, further study and career direction can be difficult when a young person is unsure of their strengths, preferences and natural way of approaching challenges. Personal insight assessments may help learners better understand:
- Their natural strengths and preferences
- How they process information and make decisions
- Their communication style and the environments in which they may function best
- How they approach challenges and problem-solving
- Areas to consider when thinking about subjects, further study or possible career direction
These assessments are intended to provide personal insight and greater self-understanding. They do not prescribe a specific career or replace formal career guidance or psychometric assessment where that may be required. Instead, the information can form part of a broader decision-making process alongside the learner’s interests, values, academic abilities, school results and future goals.

When young people understand themselves more clearly, they are often better equipped to ask the right questions and make more informed decisions about subjects, study options and future direction.
